Benefiting Local Animals
The Best Friends of Shelby Humane Society is a group of volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets in Shelby County by providing financial support through the planning and execution of special events and fundraisers. Our annual events are Twas the Night Before Christmas and Cup of Love, as well as Designer Bag Bingo.
Helping Local Shelters
The Animal League of Birmingham is dedicated to raising funds for non-profit rescues and shelters in Birmingham and the surrounding area who support the health, welfare, and general well being of animals in need.

Lynden Blake is a TV host and sideline reporter now based out of Nashville, TN. You can catch her on OutKick’s digital platforms or on ESPN broadcasts during basketball season! An Alex city native… she’s been around the southeast the last decade covering national championships to hurricanes to elections to Auburn’s Final Four appearance. War Eagle. Before moving to Nashville, she worked on good day Alabama on WBRC FOX6. She’s an Auburn graduate but now a big Vanderbilt supporter!! Her husband, Chad coaches track and cross country at Vanderbilt. Together they have two dogs and not a lot of time to see each other LOL.
Bingo Caller
Adam Schwartz is an award-winning, Emmy-nominated filmmaker from Birmingham, AL. He is the managing producer, director, and one of the stars of It’s a Southern Thing’s viral sketch comedy series, So True, Y’all and the co-host of online sci-fi/fantasy book club Literarily Wasted. He also loves dogs so much, he has over 1,800 dog pictures on his phone (most of them his dogs...honest).
